Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has been unanimously chosen to lead the All-Progressives Congress, (APC) Governors Forum.
Uzodimma was chosen at a meeting yesterday in Abuja attended by all the APC Governors.
According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, the selection of Uzodimma for the job was a source of pleasure among his APC Governor-colleagues, who attested to his ability to lead them.
He said: Governor Uzodimmas latest responsibility came barely three days ago when he was conferred with the honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by the former President, Muhammadu Buhari and another honour, last weekend, by the former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
Wike, at a well-attended ceremony at the Banquet Hall of Rivers State in Port Harcourt, the State capital, conferred on Governor Uzodimma the highest honour in Rivers State, the Grand Service Stars of Rivers State (GSSRS).
The GSSRS, according to Wike, is given to individuals who have demonstrated capacity in leadership and service to their people and society.
