…Launches pro-Tinubu radio station in Rivers
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said supporters of President Bola Tinubu in Rivers State do not require the involvement of state governors to mobilise political support ahead of the 2027 general election.

Wike stated this yesterday, at the inauguration of the Port-Harcourt office of the ‘Renewed Hope Ambassadors’, a political support group.
According to him, existing political structures in the state are sufficient to organise independently. He said, “We don’t need a governor to mobilise us. We have senators, National Assembly members, local government chairmen and party leaders across the APC and PDP”.
He added that political support should be based on individual commitment rather than external direction.

Meanwhile, a radio station, Majority FM 89.5, has been established within the group’s office in Port Harcourt. The station is expected to serve as a platform for political engagement in the state.
The developments come amid increasing political activities linked to the 2027 elections.
