Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has debunked news of his purported plan to announce his presidential bid ahead of the 2023 elections after the All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention.
Recall that there were earlier reports that had emerged online yesterday, that the VP has concluded plans to announce his presidential ambition immediately after the APC convention, slated for Saturday, February 26.
However, Prof. Osinbajo, through his spokesman, Laolu Akande, clarified that the report making the rounds is false and speculative snippets.
Laolu made this known in a tweet yesterday, which partly read: Ive seen ‘news’ that Vice President will announce his presidential bid after APCs national convention. Anyone reading the story should know its all false and speculative snippets”.
He added that any information on the action of the vice-president will come directly from his office and not the press.
