…Vows ‘no project will be abandoned’

Governor Uba Sani, of Kaduna State, has launched an unprecedented infrastructure push, pledging to complete all on-going and future projects without piling debt on the state.

The Governor, who made this known yesterday, during the groundbreaking ceremony for township road projects in Rigasa Ward, Igabi local government area, and Zango, in Tudun Wada, Kaduna-South LGA, declared that “no project will be abandoned” under his leadership, as he rolled out road works across Southern Kaduna.
Senator Sani said his administration had already mobilised 50% funding to contractors to ensure timely delivery. He stressed that Rigasa — one of Nigeria’s largest wards — had been neglected for too long despite its population and electoral strength.
“This is about opening opportunities for hardworking residents who drive Kaduna’s economy. These projects will be fully funded, completed, and paid for”, the governor assured.
At Tudun-Wada, he inaugurated the reconstruction of Zango Road, linking key institutions and markets to Kaduna’s city centre. He described the project as “personal”, recalling his days as a student in the area.
Sani then shifted focus to Southern Kaduna, where he broke a 15-year jinx of neglect by flagging off the reconstruction of the Jaba–Ƙwoi Township Road, and inspecting the ongoing 22.8km Maɗauchi–Madakiya–Kafanchan Road. Residents hailed the move as “dignity restored” after years of government silence.
“This road is more than asphalt. It connects farmers to markets, children to schools, and patients to hospitals. It is about restoring hope and uniting our communities”, Sani declared to jubilant crowds.

According to a Community leader, Elder Monday Jatau: “For over a decade we begged for attention. Today, Uba Sani has proven we matter”. Farmers too voiced relief, saying the projects would end years of losses to poor transport.
The Governor revealed that Phase-1 of his Rural Revitalisation Agenda had already covered 785kms across 85 roads, with 44 completed. Phase-2, he said, will deliver another 550km through 50 new roads and bridges.
Observers noted that the interventions will unlock economic corridors, cut transport costs, and foster unity across the state.
