At least four residents were killed on Thursday evening when armed bandits attacked Gwargwaba village in Nahuce District, BunguÉ—u local government area of Zamfara State. Security analyst, Bakatsine reported on X yesterday that the heavily armed attackers stormed the community around 6:00 p.m., setting several houses on fire. Four residents were trapped in their homes and died in the blaze. The assailants also destroyed food supplies and killed and burned livestock. Zamfara: Bandits storm federal university, abduct female students

Two female students of the Federal University, Gusau, in Zamfara State have been abducted by armed bandits. The students, it was gathered, were abducted from their hostel in the early hours of yesterday. The kidnappers stormed the hostel in Sabon-Gida, a community opposite the main campus of the university, and succeeded in locking up security guards.
