Recovered loot: Diezani forfeits jewellery, houses valued at N47.6bn – EFCC

Former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke forfeited assets worth N47.6 billion to the Federal Government. The EFCC Chairman, AbdulRasheed Bawa, who made this known yesterday, said the jewellery component of the assets was worth N14.6 billion. Bawa disclosed the figures before the House of Representatives ad-hoc committee investigating the status of recovered loot yesterday, in Abuja. EFCC: Buhari approves Umar’s appointment as Magu remains suspended

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mohammed Umar as the acting head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) while its long-serving acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, remains suspended.
