Nasarawa: Woman arrested for hiding 124 rounds of ammunition in palm oil gallon

Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command, on Friday arrested one woman, Hauwa Sani, for attempting to smuggle 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition concealed in a gallon of palm oil. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the arrest in a statement posted on X.com yesterday. According to Nansel, the suspect was apprehended in Keffi while en route to Katsina State. Unidentified gunmen, Friday night, stormed Odu community, where they caused panic and shot the traditional ruler, Mr Amos Ewa Obere (ASP Rtd), to death.
