PDP Convention: 25-yr-old new-breed, Muhammed Suleiman, elected Youth Leader

A 25-year-old Kaduna-based businessman, Muhammed Kadade Suleiman, has emerged as the National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), at its just-concluded National Convention.

Suleiman, who hails from Kaduna State, polled 3,072 votes to beat his challenger Usman Elkudan, who scored 219 votes.

The 25-yr-old was barely two years older than the PDP which was established in 1998.

The newly elected youth leader said his emergence would help the party to restore its image to the vision of the PDP founding fathers. He, however, added that his emergence will re-awake the hope of the Nigerian youths.

He noted that if a 28-year-old parliamentarian Anthony Enahoro can move the motion for Nigerias Independence in the 1950s, then he is also capable to do well.
