Says nobody in charge
Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has lamented that Nigeria is at a point where its future has become very uncertain.

Soyinka, who is a professor of Literature, spoke at the ‘Booksellers’, venue of the presentation of his new book of over 500 pages, described the year 2020 as the most challenging year as a result of the vicissitudes of problems.
He added that the country’s situation was worse as a result of the imperial nature of its leadership at the socio-political and religious levels. The Nobel laureate said the book, titled: Chronicles of the Happiest People on Earth’, took him about 40 years to write.
Soyinka regretted that in Nigeria today, it appears no one is in charge, warning that the Nigerian situation has reached a point where you are not very sure of where you are going and where you will end.

Guests in attendance included the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, Chief, Newton Jibunoh, Kunle Ajibade, Executive Editor, TheNEWS magazine and Professor Ebun Clark.
