It has been declared that to say that Nigeria as a nation is sick is an understatement because never in the history of the nation have the people seen inflation so high in such a geo-metric proportion.

Also, many Nigerians cannot have one good meal with their families, corruption is increasing every day; terrorism, kidnapping, and indiscriminate killing by herdsmen have become part of the daily news.
The Acting Chairman of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), Rev. Ibiosiya Daniel Amachree said this while speaking at the opening of the business session of the 109th Convention in Session held at the Baptist International Convention Center (BICC), Mowe, Lagos Ibadan Expressway.
He lamented that genocide of Christians, burning of houses, and displacement of people from their traditional communities have become the order of the day.
According to him: Our government is silent about these issues, our Baptist Schools are being attacked at Ilorin, Kaduna, and in other States. It has become more imperative now than ever for every one of us to rise up and cry to God to save our beloved nation.
We should be more involved in political activities, especially as the 2023 general election is approaching. The Bible puts it clear that when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
“We have mourned, and are still mourning; because of our negligence and political apathy not being involved or interested in politics. Baptist people, lets encourage our members who are interested in politics to be more active and present themselves for elective positions, while we pray for them.
The Convention Acting Chairman further appealed: Please, if you have obtained your Permanent Voters Card (PVC), make sure you vote for God-fearing politicians when the opportunity comes. If you have not gotten yours, please make sure you get your PVCs. Vote wisely, vote with your conscience so that God can use your vote to bring His sons and daughters to transform this nation. Remember, your vote counts.
