Family sources have said that the school teacher who kidnapped and killed 5-year-old Hanifa Abubakar in Kano, was among the first set of people who came to sympathize with her parents after the abduction.

Recall that the suspect, Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, the proprietor of Noble Kids Nursery and Primary school in Kano was arrested by the Police for the gruesome murder alongside an accomplice.
Uncle of the girl, Suraj Sulaiman, told newsmen that Tanko shed tears when he visited Hanifas parents to console them over the abduction.
He was full of tears when he visited the family to console them over the abduction, said Sulaiman.
Tanko, who allegedly kidnapped the 5yr-old girl, identified as Hanifa Abubakar, in Kano, kept her captive for 46 days before taking her life. It was gathered that the suspect took the little girls life despite collecting part of six million naira ransom he demanded.
Tanko allegedly cut the childs body into pieces and pack inside a sack. Her remains were subsequently found and have been buried according to Islamic rites.
