The Independent Broadcasting Association of Nigeria (IBAN) has appointed Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan as its Interim Chairman.
This followed the dissolution of its current executives, at an emergency and physical meeting held yesterday, and after the expiration of thier tenure.
As part of resolutions also reached at the meeting, Sir Godfrey Ohanbuwa, was also appointed the Chairman of a 10-man IBAN Interface committee to meet with the Federal Government and other critical stakeholders on issues affecting the common industry’s interest.
The Acting Chairman, in his opening remarks, said all stations are battling with high running operational, personnel costs and other challenges, hence struggling to survive under high burden of debts, with foreign under link satellite providers.
The meeting was therefore aimed at finding solutions to all the issues mentioned.
