Former presidential candidate, Professor Pat Utomi has stated that Nigeria must move from sentimental thinking to rational planning if it is to overcome its challenges.Japan trip.
Utomi, a political economist and former presidential adviser, said this yesterday, in a post on X.
He recalled being asked by an elder what could save the country. “I said we have to move from thinking with our eyes and heart to thinking with our brains”, he wrote. He said the elder was confused by the response.
Utomi added that Nigerians are often impressed by superficial projects while the people suffer deprivation. “We are building flyovers to nowhere while the people starve because what they see impresses them”, he stated.
