…Urges ADC unity to defeat APC
A key figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Coalition and former APC National Vice-Chairman (North-West), Dr. Salihu Lukman, has said the passing of Muhammadu Buhari marks the end of an era where politicians won elections simply through endorsements.

Speaking on a television programme yesterday, Lukman called on all leaders in the ADC Coalition to be united, build a strong team spirit and a strong political party that will not only defeat the APC but capable of rescue Nigerians from the current woes.
He noted that ADC doesn’t have somebody with the kind of intimidating profile like that of the Late Buhari, adding that what it means is that all the leaders of the coalition need is to be humble and acknowledge that they need one another. He further noted that even before the Late President Buhari died, the vacuum had been created, adding that it was quite doubtful if before his death he could influence electoral victory in the old way.
According to him, Buhari’s exit leaves a vacuum that demands a new kind of politics based on humility and direct engagement with citizens.
He urged ADC leaders to unite, build a strong party, and offer Nigerians a credible alternative to the APC. Lukman stressed that without a towering figure like Buhari, politicians must now work harder to earn votes and deliver on promises.
He concluded that only a fresh political approach can meet Nigerians’ expectations and rescue the country from its current challenges.
