Breaking: Sunday Igboho regains freedom, flees from Benin

The self-styled Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has reportedly regained his freedom.

This was made known in a statement by the ‘Yoruba Nation Global Directorate’, signed by its Director, Princess Adeola Atayero Olamijulo.

According to reports, Igboho regained his freedom on Tuesday afternoon following his release by the government of the Benin Republic.

Princess Adeola Atayero Olamijulo expressed appreciation to the government and people of Benin Republic for their intervention in the release of the human rights activist.

The statement, released by the group’s Directorate Coordinator for Information, Otunba Demola Edwards, said she expressed gratitude to all those whose prayers, calls and participation facilitated the release of the activist.

She thanked all the Beninese lawyers in Cotonou who promptly stepped into the matter for their support, adding that Igboho is on his way to his destination, the statement noted.
