The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Saturday, September 4, for its local government Congress.

A terse statement by the Secretary of the Party’s Caretaker Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee, (CECPC), Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe, on Wednesday, in Abuja, indicated the sale of forms for the Congress has since begun.
Recall that the Party’s Ward Congress took place on July 31 in 33 States and Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while the Party suspended the exercise in Anambra, Bayelsa and Zamfara States.
During the inauguration of the Ward Congress Appeal Committees, the National Secretariat said it received petitions from 14 States, while it awaited reports of the grassroots congress from 12 States two weeks after the exercise.
