Former Governor of Jigawa State and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sule Lamiɗo, has strongly criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC), likening it to a “cancer at Stage-4 level”, which needs to be removed from Nigeria’s political landscape.

Speaking on a television programme yesterday, Lamiɗo expressed his deep dissatisfaction with the APC’s governance, particularly highlighting the party’s 10 years in office under late former President, Muhammadu Buhari. “We must remove this cancer called APC, which we can call malaria, cancer at level-4”, Lamiɗo stated emphatically.
“APC is our problem. We must remove that corruption, which has become a cancer in Nigeria. And it has to be excised out”, he insisted.
Lamiɗo’s criticism was not limited to the APC’s past governance but also extended to the current administration under President Bola Tinubu, emphasising that the problem lies with the party itself rather than just the current leadership. “If Tinubu is Buhari, they’re all APC. Never vote for them; because it’s a failure of the party and party leaders of Nigeria. It’s not about Tinubu, it’s about APC”, he stated.
The APC has not yet publicly responded to Lamido’s criticism.
