The Federal Government has said over 700 road projects are currently on-going across all geo-political zones in the country.
The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Ernest Umakhihe, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja by the ministry’s Director, Press and Public Relations, Bode Akinola, at the on-going 26th National Council on Works in Port Harcourt.
He said some of the projects include the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway, second Niger Bridge, Bodo-Bonny Road and Obajana-Kabba Road in Kogi State.
“In the same vein, the government is also committed to completing the Sukuk Bond-financed road projects across the six geopolitical zones of the country and maintaining scheduled maintenance of 5,000km of roads annually”, he further stated.
It said the roads include intervention projects in higher institutions of learning and assured it would complete on-going iconic road infrastructure across the country.
