An Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court in Ogun state has sentenced one Omotola Ayokanmi, a 47-year-old man to three years in prison for impersonation.

Ayokanmi had appeared before the Federal High Court as a Counsel to move an application for bail.

“The Judge found fault in his address to the court which made the Judge interrogate him,” Akhenegor said.

“He later confessed that he only had a Diploma in Law and had never been called to the Bar. He confessed that he had been using his wife‘s gown who was called to Bar in 2006, but not practising.

Akhenegor said Omotola Ayokanmi has been dubiously practising since 2007 in contravention of section 484 of the criminal laws of Ogun, 2006.
