Nigerian Muslim intending pilgrims, who had earlier paid for a trip to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj, have started demanding for refund after the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON), instructed them to pay another N1.9million. Kano: Court sentences Chinese to death for killing Nigerian girlfriend

A Kano High Court sitting yesterday, sentenced a Chinese national, Frank Geng-Quangrong, 47, to death by hanging for stabbing his Nigerian girlfriend, Ummukulsum Sani, 22, to death. Frank, who lives in Railway Quarters Kano, was convicted on one count charge of culpable homicide. Over 10 illegal refineries, 500,000 litres crude oil reservoir uncovered in Rivers

Over ten illegal refineries have been uncovered at Odagwa community in Etche local government area of Rivers State. The illegal refineries were discovered by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Commandant-Generals Special Intelligence Squad. According to the security agency, the illegal refineries had an estimated 500,000 litres of Crude oil warehoused in about 50 illegally constructed Reservoirs.
