Ahead of the Saturday governorship election in Ondo State, the Transition Monitoring Group (TMC) which is a coalition of over 400 civil society organisations has condemned the ‘invasion’ of the state by some governors. The Chairman, Transition Monitoring Group, Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, said at a pre-election press briefing on Friday that the refusal of these governors to leave the state constituted a threat to the peaceful and credible conduct of the election. Ondo Guber: NSCDC deploys 7,079 personnel, 60 dogs

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says it has deployed no fewer than 7,079 personnel and 60 sniffer dogs to provide adequate security for the  Oct. 10 Ondo State governorship election. Persons living with HIV slam CISLAC over N8.5bn contract allegation

The Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria has berated the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre over a report that Nigeria loses N8.5 billion every time the National Agency for the Control of AIDS procures HIV/AIDS drugs through private contractors.
